About
Gedankenflux
Gedankenflux – pronounced [ɡəˈdaŋkənˌflʊks] – is an allusion to the raw and unfiltered stream of consciousness that underlies every piece of writing produced by Gedankenflux. Rooted in the practice of Free Writing, Gedankenflux embraces spontaneity, emotional immediacy, and the fleeting truth of a moment.
Artist statement
Gedankenflux, also known as Janina, is a Berlin-based writer who uses they/them pronouns. Their creative writing journey began in 2022, driven by a deep curiosity about identity, belonging, and urban life.
Their work often blends introspective themes with a sharp eye for the psychological and societal. Drawing from the aesthetics of Psychological Horror and the rhythms of everyday existence, Gedankenflux adresses the feeling of alienation — observing society and pop culture from an outsider’s perspective.
Their short story Echo Chamber was published in Anodyne Mag. Vol 2.

Creative Approach
All poems, flash fictions, and short stories written by Gedankenflux are written freely.
Free Writing is a creative writing technique that emphasizes uninterrupted flow, allowing thoughts, emotions, and ideas to surface without censorship or overthinking. It values spontaneity over structure — and authenticity over polish, creating raw energy, emotional immediacy to preserve the truth of the moment they were written in.
